Aayaa yoga has structured its 500 hour training to advance and reinforce your basic learning and practice of yoga. The course will focus on the advanced anatomy, yogic philosophy, physiology, teaching practice, methodology, techniques, use of props and the perfect practice of Hatha, Ashtanga and Vinyasa flow, meditation and meditation techniques and Prananyam. Classes in these five practices and other fields will build on your existing skills in the various postures, Pranayama and meditation techniques which will be a step forward in you becoming a registered yoga teacher. As a yoga teacher you will need specific advanced skills and so the 500 hour YTT is designed to fulfill those needs.

ASTHANGA VINYASA YOGA

  • Practice the primary series of Ashtanga Vinyasa (K. Pattabhi Jois)
  • Lead class and self-practice (Mysore style)
  • Learn how to adjust the students
  • Learn how to modify the difficult poses
  • Create your own vinyasa sequence
  • KEY POINTS: Ujjayi breath, Drishti and Bandhas

TRADITIONAL HATHA YOGA

  • Learn asanas in a traditional Indian way
  • Learn the different aspects of yoga: pranayama, mudras, bandhas, kriyas
  • Study the Vedanta philosophy and the most important yogic text, Bhagwad Gita.

PRANAYAMA

  • Breathing techniques and therapy
  • Life force system
  • Natural breath – slow, rhythmic and diaphragmatic
  • Stress and breath.
  • Types of pranayama and its benefits.

ACRO YOGA WORKSHOP

  • Learn how to trust: “As you learn to support others, you end up allowing yourself to be supported. This is a fundamental of trust: take control by letting go” (Daniel Scott).

  • Introduction to the basics of acro-yoga: base, flyer, spotter

AYURVEDA WORKSHOP

Curriculum

We have redefined a curriculum as per the international standards of Yoga Alliance USA coupled with our own expertise in the field of yoga. The prime objective is to prepare the future teachers physically and spiritually ready to practice and teach by themselves. We will lay down the foundations to become a successful and well-rounded yoga teacher.

The main areas that we cover in our program will be will be classified in 5 modules: Yoga teaching techniques, teaching Methodology and Yogic Lifestyle, Philosophy, Anatomy and physiology, and Practice.
